The game
Two or more. The reader role moves around the table after every card, so everyone gets a turn to read and to answer.
It depends on your group. Early Jugglings lasts until every player has been the reader three times. After that, the first player to 10 cards can be declared the winner, or you can play it out until the deck is finished or the group decides to stop.
Early Jugglings is the warm-up. The reader asks the player on their right, and a wrong answer passes the question to the next player on the right, so you might get a chance to steal. It lasts three rounds. In The Clash, everybody is in it: once the question has been read in full, anyone can answer, each player gets one guess, and the first correct answer wins the card.
Cards won during both stages count toward your total. The first player to collect 10 cards can be declared the winner. Or keep going until the deck is finished or the group decides to stop, and the player with the most cards wins.
If two or more players are tied at the end, settle it with one final Clash question.
No. Deep fans will argue over the close ones. Everyone else will catch more than they expect. The deck is better when the table is mixed.
Neither. You shuffle, read, and keep the cards you win. The cards in front of you are your score.
16 and up. Dancehall lyrics can be raw, flirtatious, and explicit. The deck is for teens and adults who know the culture, not for young children.
The deck
108 trivia cards, plus the tuck box. That is the whole game.
A yellow face with the question in the middle and the answer along the bottom. The reader keeps the answer to themselves while they read.
No. The crate runs from classic anthems to new bangers: lyrics, stories, and the culture around the dance.
No. Lyrics IQ is an independent trivia game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any artist, producer, label, or sound system named in the deck.
